The Purpose of the Society is:
1) To research information pertaining to the town of Andover and its residents.
2) To preserve records, photos, and relics pertinent to Andover.
3) To inform and educate town residents concerning their historical heritage.
4) To create an awareness of this heritage among the youth of the community.
5) To sponsor activities that would help to maintain the Society's enthusiasm and spirit of cooperation.
